Tuesday 13th June – Y5 use professional online databases to find missing information

What an intense day! 12 Y5 children worked with Neil Storey to track down missing biographical information. Using the research carried out by Y4 as a starting point they identified gaps in the lads biographical information (family details, where they lived) and used the ancestry website cross referenced with an online roll of honour database to find this information. It was extremely hard work; often frustrating and time consuming, but ultimately rewarding as they found much of the missing information for 1914 – 1916. We drew some blanks, but only where the information no longer exists. Work continues on Thursday to complete the research for 1917 – 1919. Enjoy the gallery.
