Neil Storey has shown us where the Chapelfield Drill Hall was 100 years ago, but with all the changes that the intervening years have brought to the park, it has been very hard for us to visualise what it would have looked like and where it would have been situated. He has kindly sent us this photograph to show us. He has also sent on a photograph of the men doing Swedish Drill in Chapelfield Gardens as part of their twice weekly training. We recreated the scene on our ‘war tour’ so I have included that for the purposes of comparison. Enjoy!
