Tonight was the last after-school history club session as the website-phase of the project draws to a close. Finishing touches were made to the entries on the interactive timeline (checking, correcting, updating) while outstanding ones were drafted, checked and typed in. The casualty map was also finished off creating a very powerful visual representation of the huge losses suffered by the local community. All that remains now is for Miss Lewis and myself to check through the entries for factual and GPS accuracy and then it can go live. A huge thank you to all involved in this work. You have truly ‘worked as historians’.
