Historian’s Neil Storey and Fiona Kay spent the day with Year 5 teaching them all about the lives of women 100 years ago. The ‘Heigham Gals’ workshop sessions vividly brought to life what it meant to be a woman before and during World War 1. The children will now be ‘working as historians’ to discover how the war changed the role of women in society forever.
