It was a beautiful day to go back in time 100 years as Y3 visited Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse. We had a Victorian-era school lesson and found out all about life in the workhouse. We then had a chance to explore the amazing exhibits that brought life 100 years ago in Norfolk into the present. We had a lesson outside in the shade of a tree as we talked about the differences between then and now, and we all enjoyed a picnic lunch before returning to school. Today certainly helped us all better understand life in the lead-up to WW1 and especially what it would have been like as a child attending school. The general consensus was that the’d prefer to go to school today!
